What does vegan mean?
In general, no ingredients of animal origin (e.g. meat, fish, milk, eggs, honey, beeswax) are permitted in vegan products. Additives of animal origin such as carmine (E120) or shellac (E904) should also not be included. However, according to the provisions of the V-Label, traces of MILK and EGG are not an exclusionary criterion for declaring a product as vegan.
